In recent years, although the government has actively push for long-term care in Taiwan, the diverse service requirements and manpower shortage have put many nursing homes in a quandary. During its regular volunteer activities through charity foundations, Avalue noticed the difficulties faced by nursing homes and endeavors to provide convenience and entertainment in the daily living of the elderly through smart technology. For now, Avalue will provide the Northern Region Senior Citizens’ Home with several sets of healthcare information system for free. This includes 21-inch medical full-flat touchscreen panel PCs, and a series of front-end apps designed to provide preventive healthcare, boost activity level and delay disabilities in the elderly.
In collaboration with the STP (Seed Talent Program), Avalue has developed an “elderly learning plan” for the senior citizens’ home. To encourage usage and long-term habitual use, the team has visited the Northern Region Senior Citizens’ Home to observe and conduct in-depth interviews. After understanding their requirements, the team has developed six major contents for the elderly, including “recommended reading”, “games and recreation”, “health information”, “video communication”, “video selection” and “language learning’, enabling the elderly to learn new knowledge, reduce or delay cognitive disability, and promote interaction. Avalue also provides on-site training for elderly care personnel and elderly residents, ensuring that they are able to operate the systems. Avalue touchscreen panel PCs are not only user-friendly but are also compact and easy to install, measuring only 4.5cm in thickness. Furthermore, Full HD image resolution and 10-point capacitive touchscreen deliver outstanding image quality and operating experience. Together with the specially designed thematic contents, the elderly will find it easy to overcome the fear of learning at their age and discover a new boost of energy in their life.
